About The Process
Our Vermont maple syrup comes straight from our 5,000-tap sugarbush. A network of plastic tubing connects each tree, transporting sap with the help of a vacuum pump to our sugar house. There, a reverse osmosis machine extracts excess water from the sap prior to boiling. Once boiled, the syrup is filtered to eliminate impurities before being carefully bottled.
Did You Know?
It typically takes about 40 gallons of sap to produce 1 gallon of maple syrup. This can vary depending on factors like the sugar content of the sap, which is influenced by the tree's health, weather conditions, and the time of the season. It’s a labor-intensive process, but the result is liquid gold!
