American Milking Devons are a rare heritage breed of cattle. They were one of the first type of cow brought over by the pilgrims, and fun fact - they are the cow pictured on the Vermont state flag!
Devon cattle are a triple purpose breed, meaning they can be used for beef, milk, or as oxen. We love them because they are hardy and tolerate the long cold winters well. They are excellent grazers and thrive on being 100% grassfed. Their meat marbles well on grass alone, whereas other breeds require grain to achieve the same texture of beef. Devons are the main type of cattle on our farm. However, our herd does have some Angus, Devon/Angus crosses, and Belted Galloways. We sell beef by the whole, half, and quarter. Please contact us if you are interested in becoming a beef share customer. |
New for 2026: USDA-inspected ground beef is available for sale on the farm! We are excited to offer high-quality ground beef to our local community at a price point that is lower than most grocery stores.
